About Christian Action Council

CAC is an active 501(c3) pro-life ministry based in the Las Vegas valley. We believe in the unalienable right to life of every human being including the legally unprotected child in the womb. We believe that right irrevocable, endowed by our Creator to each man, woman and child. We believe in the right to life from the instant of conception to natural death. Christian Action Council Stands for Life.

A Brief History

In 1975, Harold O. J. Brown together with former United States Surgeon General C. Everett Koop, M.D., formed Christian Action Council. At the time, Christian Action Council was the leading evangelical pro-life action group and an educational and service ministry, of which Brown served as chairman until 1998. The National Christian Action Council is currently known as Care Net, Inc.

In 1988, the Southern Nevada chapter of Christian Action Coucil was formed by Angelo Bancheri and Louise Kopf. CACSN shared the same pro-life, pro-family values and vision of its national parent. Though the parent organization was to become Care Net, Christian Action Council of Southern Nevada continues in its broad vision of standing for positive social and political values in the face of a "progressive" society.

In 1991, Kenneth Wilson became and remains the current director of CACSN. An alumni of University of Las Vegas and Community College of Southern Nevada, Wilson has been socially and politically active in the Las Vegas area serving as the Director for Family Outreach Ministry, a men's homeless shelter (1987-1988); Director for the Las Vegas and Henderson Life Chains (1991-present); Producer of approximately 20 theatrical productions of "Tilly", a pro-life, pro-family play written by Frank Peretti; Host of the daily HeartBeat Live Radio Broadcast (2000-2004).

Currently, Christian Action Council is coordinating the Las Vegas chapter of 40 Days For Life.

Christian Action Council of Southern Nevada remains true to its charter of education for life and family issues, a vanguard for life in the Las Vegas Valley.
